Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Linchpin Performance different from traditional physical therapy?
Linchpin Performance provides one-on-one physical therapy with a Doctor of Physical Therapy for every session.
Appointments are longer and intentionally structured to allow for thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, and individualized exercise and movement work. Care is tailored to how you train, work, and live—not built around a preset protocol.
Our focus extends beyond short-term symptom relief. We aim to improve movement quality, strength, and resilience so your results hold up over time.
This approach is best suited for people who value clarity, precision, and long-term outcomes. Find more info HERE
What types of treatments do you offer?
We integrate advanced hands-on treatment with progressive strength and movement training to address the true driver of pain or limitation, not just the symptoms.
Your care may include dry needling, manual therapy, spinal manipulation, cupping, blood flow restriction training, and individualized performance programming. These top-tier approaches are selected and sequenced intentionally within your plan of care to restore capacity, reinforce resilience, and resolve issues for the long term.
The goal isn’t temporary relief. It’s durable, long-term function so you can stay active and keep doing what you love.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a comprehensive, one-on-one evaluation with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
We take time to understand your history, current symptoms, training or activity demands, and goals. From there, we assess movement quality, strength, mobility, and how your body manages load and stress.
You can expect:
- A clear explanation of what’s contributing to your symptoms
- An outline of what needs to change to move forward
- Treatment to begin on day one
You’ll leave with clarity around the process and a plan that’s tailored to you—not a generic template.
How long are sessions, how many visits will I need, and what happens after physical therapy?
Your initial evaluation is 75 minutes and includes a full assessment and treatment session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Follow-up visits are 55 minutes, allowing time for hands-on care, movement retraining, and progression.
Most clients are seen 10–15 visits over 3–4 months, depending on goals, history, and how the body responds. We outline an expected range early and adjust as progress is made.
Care at Linchpin Performance follows a three-step process:
- Reset
Break the cycle—reduce symptoms, calm irritation, and restore control. - Restore
Rebuild strength, coordination, and movement capacity where it matters. - Reclaim
Return to training, work, and life with confidence, power, and long-term durability.
After completing initial care, many clients continue into our Performance Longevity membership to keep building capacity, resilience, and durable performance as training and life demands evolve.
Do you accept insurance?
Linchpin Performance is an out-of-network physical therapy clinic by design. We accept HSA/FSA funds and provide documentation for reimbursement, but we do not allow insurance companies to dictate how care is delivered.
Operating out of network allows us to:
- Provide extended, one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
- Use advanced assessment and treatment methods based on your needs, not coverage rules.
- Focus on building durable performance capacity, not just meeting minimum functional standards.
This approach is best suited for people who value efficiency, expert guidance, and getting it done right the first time.
Still have questions?
If you’re unsure whether out-of-network physical therapy is the right fit, our team is happy to help you think it through and answer any questions before getting started.
What can I expect treatment to cost?
Individual sessions range from $185–$249.
Packages and memberships are available at discounted rates.
During your initial visit, your Doctor of Physical Therapy will recommend the most appropriate option based on your goals and the demands you want your body to handle. You’ll leave with a clear plan and a defined path forward so your investment aligns with the outcome you’re pursuing.
Where do I start?
The first step is a short qualifying phone call with one of our doctors. This allows us to hear your story, answer your questions, and determine whether our approach is the right fit for you and your goals. It also helps us prepare so your evaluation can be as productive as possible from the very first visit.
If it makes sense to move forward, we’ll schedule your 75-minute one-on-one evaluation during that call and outline what the next steps will look like.
This short call ensures that anyone who schedules an evaluation is well prepared and confident that our approach is the right investment for their recovery and performance goals.
