Founder/Physical Therapist

Dr. Dave's Bio

I work with people who want their bodies to keep up with the demands of the lives they live. My role is to help you stay active, capable, and progressing — and to navigate the inevitable setbacks of training and life with clarity instead of guesswork.

I grew up in weight rooms and on jiu-jitsu mats, chasing performance and rebuilding from injuries along the way. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with my Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016. Now, as a husband and father, my perspective has expanded blending performance with longevity and whole-life sustainability.

I act as your guide and strategic partner so you can move, train, and live with confidence.

The Story Behind Linchpin Performance

I (Dave) began working as a physical therapist in the Seattle area in 2016. Early on, I was part of a small clinic that worked closely with first responders: police, firefighters, and others in high-demand roles. These tactical and functional athletes often presented with more complex problems, and that’s where I found my passion.

As the company expanded, they opened a second location inside a gym and had me manage it. This shifted our focus toward a more fitness-forward population – people who wanted to train, perform, and stay active rather than the traditional post-surgical or medically fragile model most clinics focus on. Over time, I grew increasingly frustrated with the constraints of third-party healthcare and felt I wasn’t helping people as much as I could.

In 2019, my wife and I moved to Louisville to be closer to family as we started building our own. When I couldn’t find a role that aligned with how I wanted to practice, I was faced with a decision: step away from healthcare, or build something of my own.

I chose to build.

The vision for Linchpin Performance was simple: serve the fitness-forward population at a high level, without the frictions of traditional care. In late 2020, I started Linchpin as a side hustle, working evenings and weekends out of a small room inside a local gym. As demand grew, I gradually reduced hours at my full-time job. In August 2022, we moved into our current space and I went all in. Since then, Linchpin Performance has continued to grow adding staff, expanding specialties, and refining our approach. But the core remains the same: we serve active people who expect their bodies to keep up with their lives.

Linchpin Performance was born out of necessity, not ambition.

We saw a system that didn’t serve the people who needed more. The high performers. The longevity-minded. The ones who train with purpose and refuse to settle for “good enough.” Their goals were too complex, their standards too high, their potential too great for conventional care.

So we started small in the corner of a local gym with one mission: to build what didn’t yet exist. A place where movement, performance, and longevity could finally live under the same roof.

Here, every session is intentional. Every plan is personal. Every decision is built on understanding the whole human…not just the injury. Linchpin Performance exists for those who want more from their bodies and their lives. For those who believe that durability isn’t something you find by accident… it’s something you engineer.

Real Results. Real People.
